IRL research contributes to the field of haptics, teleoperation, and robotic systems development and control. The application areas of our research include medical robotics and unmanned vehicles. Medical robotics research field covers medical laboratory automation, automated diagnosis of brain disease, and haptics supported rehabilitation robotics. Unlimited-wokspace bilateral teleoperation is investigated through unmanned indoor mobile robots. Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) research includes novel UUV design, thrust control and hovering-mode control studies.
